Zinera Ann Macys

Zinera Ann Macys, 75, passed away on December 29, 2020.  Zinera was born to Ona Abromaitis on July 26, 1945.  Zinera lived in New Jersey, starting out in Linden and Hillside, then settled in the Monroe Township area over 30 years ago.

Zinera retired from Freehold Raceway and was the founder of Macys Courier Service.   She loved all things nature (especially sunsets) and spent mornings having coffee, whistling back and forth with her sweet and chatty cockatiel “Goody”.  She was an avid player of Pokémon Go and was proud of her purple avatar, "Bordava".   Zinera loved her family and her Lithuanian heritage.   She told many stories of coming to the United States, and how proud she was to be an American.

Zinera is survived by 4 children Zinera Ann Rogers, Clyde Worthen, Michele Hardwick and Michael Macys.  Zinera had 4 beloved grandchildren Nick, Jayde, Xander and Maddox, and 4 sisters Maria Mastalski, Veronica Woodruff, Grace Abromaitis, and Donna DeWitte.  She was predeceased by her brother Raymond Abromaitis.

Breast Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer and Type 1 Diabetes were important fundraisers for Zinera.
