William M. Spratley

William Spratley, of Asbury Park, NJ, passed away on Monday, May 30th, 2016, at the age of 84. Born in Red Bank, NJ, William remained a life- long resident of Monmouth County, NJ. After honorably serving his country in the Korean War, he returned to the area where he worked for American Smelting & Co for several years before retiring from Bendix Corporation. A lover of jazz and devoted to visiting the sick and shut- in, 'Mr. Bill' was a dependable neighbor and Asbury Park resident, who always offered kind words and support to friends and family alike. William is pre- deceased by his parents, William Spratley and Lillian Spratley, wife Roberta Spratley, and son Kim Spratley. He is survived by his daughter, Blair Strother (Scott) of San Diego, CA, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A home going celebration is being planned for a later date.
