William C. Schaible, age 64 of Wanamassa, passed away on January 3, 2018. He was born in Toms River and raised in Wanamassa. For the last six years he resided in Forest Hill, MD. where he worked as an Engineering Technician for the US Army at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds.
He was known as Will, Bill, Schibes, or Shiby to his longtime friends. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, and all forms of motor sports. He especially enjoyed spending the day at Englishtown Raceway Park watching drag racing. There he would take photographs and write articles on the days events. He would often talk for hours about cars to anyone who enjoyed them as much as he did. As an avid Formula One fan he attended several Grand Prix races in other countries and the Indy 500 here in America. He combined his second passion for photography with his love for cars and motorcycles capturing thousands of images of the races he attended throughout the world.
He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, and a kind heart.
Bill is predeceased by his parents William and Ann Schaible and by his sister Katherine.
He is survived by his brothers Joseph and Peter Schaible.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a Memorial Gathering on Wednesday, January 17th. from 6 to 8 PM at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Ave, Ocean Grove.
