William E. Mckelvey

William E. McKelvey, 62 of Spring Lake Heights was called to the Lord on Monday, April 16, 2018. William was born on October 4, 1955. He was a life long resident of Spring Lake Heights. He graduated from Spring Lake Heights Elementary School in 1969. William then went on to Manasquan High School where he was a member of the High School Bowling team and the Warrior Band. After he Graduated Manasquan High School in 1973, he went on to Philco Ford Institute in Philadelphia to study electronics. William was a long time member of the music scene, not only did he work with local musicians, but he also worked with major names. His company Music Men Productions could be seen at Monmouth University, Long Branch car shows, and their summer series. He was a beloved member of the music scene mixing sound for all musicians of all talents and all genres. William was a lifelong member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Spring Lake. He was involved with the Boy Scouts Troop 69 of Spring Lake Heights, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. William was predeceased by his father Everett "Mac" McKelvey. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Bonnie Jean Ayers McKelvey, his 5 children, Erin Boyington and husband Jody Boyington of Etters, PA, Justyn McKelvey of Spring Lake Heights, Sean McKelvey and wife Lauren of Mountville, PA, Lauren-Ruth McKelvey of Spring Lake Heights, Frederic McKelvey and wife Audrey of Brick Twp., his mother Ruth "Mrs. Mac" McKelvey of Spring Lake Heights, his mother in law Ruth-Ann Ayers of Red Bank, sister in law Dawn Ayers of Red Bank. He was blessed to have not only his 5 children, but 8 grandchildren, Joseph, Zachary, Kayla, Everett, Richard, Dagan, Jackson, and Haddie. There will be a memorial service Saturday, 11:00 am, May 5, 2018 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 907 Forth Avenue, Spring Lake, NJ and a Benefit in remembrance will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 7-11 pm at the Headliner in Neptune City. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Spring Lake, NJ. Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation Service, 36 Broad Street, Manasquan, NJ.
