William (Billy) J. Marklein, of Neptune City, passed away on September 15, 2025 in the compassionate care of Hackensack Meridian Hospice. He was 73 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Billy grew up in Glendale, Queens, moving to the Jersey Shore in 1973, where he met his wife Diane when he was a lifeguard in Bradley Beach.

Prior to his illness, Billy enjoyed surfing & skiing. Happily retired in 2011, Bill and Diane spent their winters on Singer Island, FL where they enjoyed many good times and made many new & treasured friends.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a future date, where we will raise a toast in his honor.
