William George Johnston, 64, of Wall died peacefully at home on April 19, 2016, surrounded by his loving family after a difficult battle with cancer.
"Bill" was born in Kearny, NJ and graduated from Neptune High School. He was a long time resident of Wall Township.
Bill was a loving and devoted elder in the Point Pleasant Beach Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and he loved to teach others about God. He was also part of the Regional Building Committee, and took part in the building and renovating of many Kingdom Halls across NJ. Bill worked as Parts and Service Coordinator for Coast Honda for the last 21 years. He loved traveling, especially to Maine, working outside in his beautiful yard, walks on the boards by the ocean and just about everything in life. Bill lived in the moment and found tremendous pleasure in the simplest things. Most of all, he loved his wife of 41 years, Roberta, his best friend and the center of his universe, his two daughters Lara and Courtney, and his grandchildren whom he loved so much.
Bill is survived by his wife Roberta, his two daughters: Lara and her husband John MacMillan of Wall, Courtney and her husband Angelo Ciacco of Brick, his parents William & Marie Johnston of Avon, his siblings: Susan Holloway, George Johnston and Nancy Daly, and his grandchildren Tyler, Ava, Devon, Reece and Lennox.
