William F. Gallagher

William F. Gallagher, 91, of Middletown, passed away August 22, 2016, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Bill was a graduate of Iona College and was honorably discharged from the Army Air Force after serving in WWII. He was an avid photographer, dog lover, and gardener. Bill was an active member of Middletown United Methodist Church. Bill was predeceased by his first wife, Anne Gallagher, two daughters, Peg Mitchell and Patty Gallagher, and his second wife Lyn Leswing Gallagher. He is survived by Butch Mitchell, Jane Denton, Peggy Buck, and Rick Leswing and their spouses; eleven grandchildren and their spouses, Jon Mitchell, Jim Mitchell, Megan Rapisarda, Jennifer Buck, Loriann Gibson, Christiana Addotta, Kristen Leswing, Richard Leswing, Erin Makowski, Rob Denton, and Katie Shannon; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Michael Gallagher and family. A memorial service will be held at 10am Saturday, August 27, 2016, at the Middletown United Methodist Church, 924 Middletown-Lincroft Rd., Lincroft, NJ 07748. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association in Bill's memory.
