Walter "Wally" Ritchie

Walter Ritchie of Manasquan, NJ, passed away on June 8, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter J. Sr. and Patricia Ritchie(Grimes). Walter is survived by his wife, Shelli Ritchie; his children: McCoy Ritchie, Zack and Stacey Ritchie, Tucker Ritchie and Katie Morton, Shannon Butler, and Holli-Lyn Firstbrook; his two granddaughters, Nichole and Danielle Cruz; his siblings, Patrick Ritchie, Scott Ritchie, Adele and Rob Berardi; and a nephew, nieces and cousins.

Walter had a career with various positions in the construction industry, retiring three years ago. His favorite role, however, was playing Santa Claus during the holiday season.

He loved the outdoors and the ocean, spending countless hours sailing, fishing, camping, and riding dirt bikes with his sons.

Walter was a devoted supporter at his boys' sporting events, and you could always find him at the inlet, watching the boats go by.

Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
