Virginia was born in Brooklyn NY. She lived in Westfield & Plainfield before moving to Brick over 50 years ago. In 1935, she received her RN from Muhlenberg Hospital, Plainfield. While working fulltime, Virginia went back to school and graduated with BA from Gregorian Court College. 1976 She worked in surrounding area’s Nursing homes – her skills were in geriatric specialties. Prior to retiring she taught the State CNS courses at Burnt Tavern Convalescent Center (now know as: Willow Springs Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center) Virginia was active in her community as a Member AARP chp, 2920 Pt. Pleasant, as well as a former member of Winding River Women Club. Her hobbies were her gardens and grandchildren Jason and James, whom she loved with all her heart. Virginia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Rodger and Linda Parkhurst, her daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and Bruce Szewczuk, and grandchildren Jason and James Szewczuk.
