Virginia M. Finlayson

December 22, 1928 — September 30, 2018

Seabrook Village - Virginia (Coffenberg) Finlayson passed away on September 30, 2018. Ginny was born in Jersey City of Marion (Gavigan) and George Coffenberg and graduated from St. Aloysius High School. With her husband, the late Grant Finlayson, she relocated to Monmouth County in the 1970s. She was predeceased by sisters Eileen Hanlon and Joan Blohm, and brother George J. Coffenberg, and is survived by her son Jay, and sister Patricia A. Murphy, five nieces and one nephew and several grand- and great-grand nieces and nephews. Her last home was at Seabrook Village, where she enjoyed the company of friends old and new. Ginny will surely be missed by close friend, dance partner and traveling companion Giuseppe Crisafi. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 15 at 10:30 AM at the Town Square Auditorium of Seabrook Village, 3000 Essex Road, Tinton Falls 07753. Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation Service, 36 Broad Street, Manasquan, NJ.
