Veronica J. Barnfield

Veronica J. Barnfield, age 93 passed away on on September 6, 2022 at her home surrounded by her children at her bedside. Born in Bethany, IL on December 10, 1928 and grew up in Decatur, IL Ronnie met and married Harold E. Barnfield and had 8 children. She moved to Brick in 1961 before moving to Original Leisure Village, Lakewood in 2019. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Laurelton from the 1960's to present, where she served in many capacities. Ronnie was humble and strong, independent yet outgoing. She lived a Godly life, caring and working hard for her family and church alone since 1983. Loved By all for her compassion and strength Ronnie will live on in all our hearts. Ronnie was a loving wife to Harold who passed in 1983.Veronica is survived by all of her 8 children; Glenn C. & Evelyn Buttiglieri of Brick, Cheryl & Raymond Liss of Brick, Deborah & Frank Kasyan of Point Pleasant Boro, D. Michael & Leslie of Poketello, ID, L. Mitchel & Kine of Upsala, Sweden, K. Sue & John Murtagh of Brick, A. Scott & Nancy of Brick, Dale & Heather of Toms River. her brother Kerwin Heiland of Riverside, FL. As well as her 18 grandchildren and spouses, Christine DiNicola (Domenick), Brian Barnfield (Melissa), Janine Popovich (Craig), Jameela Hull (George), James Bayrooty (Alis) David Kasyan (Jennifer), Ryan Kasyan, Ella Barnfield, Maja Barnfield, Deana Barnfield, Thomas Barnfield, Jordan Barnfield, Jamie Barnfield, Courtney Barnfield, Paige Majka (Bryan), Margaret Marcrie (Joseph), Dylan Barnfield and Rachel Barnfield also 16 great-grandchildren. We want to thank Memorial Sloan Kettering Center for their outstanding Doctors and nurses that were so compassionate, caring and professional in helping mom through this journey.

Please join us in a Celebration of Life Service, Sunday morning September 18, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Laurelton in Brick at 11:15 am following regular service 10 to 11am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Laurelton , 1824 Rt.88, Brick, NJ 08724. Jersey Shore Cremation, Manasquan is entrusted with her arrangements.
