Thomas Strand Mclearen

Thomas Strand McLearen (Mac) 57 of Howell Twp. a life long shore resident who grew up in Shrewsbury, NJ, died unexpectedly on March 25, 2015 at the age of 57, at home. Tom is survived by his brothers Marc, Doug and his sister Mary Albright. Also surviving him are his nieces and nephews Christina, Catherine, Bridget, Dylan, Corey and Jarrett. Tom was born in Evanston, IL. on October 15, 1957 to John and Ole McLearen, who predeceased him. He graduated from Red Bank Regional High School and worked for Builder's General in Little Silver. Tom loved the outdoors, football, fishing and NASCAR. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. I've never known a man to have so many friends and just as many nicknames. Everybody loved him. A memorial gathering is scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. on April 4 at the Braun's Funeral Home in Eatontown. Please bring a funny Tom story as there are a million of them.
