Thomas E. Hayes

Thomas Hayes, 86, of Wall passed away on December 11, 2015. Born in Plainfield, he was raised in Montclair where he attended Immaculate Conception Schools. A graduate of Fordham University, Tom spent 40 years with GM Insurance Corp. Upon his retirement from GM, he spent 15 years at the NJ Dept. of Insurance. Tom was a communicant at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Sea Girt where he served as usher, lector, and past president of the Holy Name Society, founding their Charity Golf Classic in 2004. He is survived by Vicky, his beloved wife of 56 years, his two daughters Susan Mattei (husband Dan), Nancy Mineo (husband Chris), and his six grandchildren, Theresa, Monica, Daniel, Matthew, Joseph, and Michael. A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered, Wednesday, December 16th., 9:30 AM at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Sea Girt
