Thomas Harrington, Jr.

Thomas Harrington Jr, 62, of Rahway passed away February 4, 2014. He was born August 19, 1951in Long Branch to Thomas and Wilhelmina Harrington. He was raised in Atlantic Highlands and baptized at St. Paul Baptist Church. He graduated from Middletown High School in 1969 where he excelled in basketball. He attended Montclair State University for two years and served in the United States Navy. Tommy held various positions from customer service to construction and had a gift for drawing. He was a kind, gentle person who enjoyed his family and shared an especially close relationship with his brother Gary Harrington.He is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Wilhelmina Harrington and his sister Paulette Nettles. He is survived by his brothers Gary Harrington of Carson, CA; Rev. David Harrington of Neptune; his sisters Carol Browne of Frederick, MD; Kelly Cosby of Neptune; and a host of nephews and nieces. Our brother Tommy will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held in honor of his life at Good Hope Baptist Church, 1306 Washington Avenue, Asbury Park, on March 8, 2014 at 11 am.
