Thomas DeMartini, 85, of Little Egg Harbor, died March 7, 2021 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune surrounded by his family. Born in Brooklyn NY, he was the son of the late Vincent DeMartini and Josephine Mazzeo DeMartini. Tom worked for Brooklyn Union Gas Company in Staten Island NY for 26 years before his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his family and many friends, his grandchildren and a good, strong cup of coffee. He was an avid fan of the New York Mets and New York Giants.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marie Privitera DeMartini, his son, Thomas DeMartini Jr., and his daughter, Laura Hanf and her husband, Christopher. Tom is also survived by a brother, Sebastian DeMartini and his wife Theresa and two sisters, Lucille Falcone and Frances Griffin and her husband Bryan. Tom is also survived by his four beloved grandchildren, Matthew Hanf, David Hanf, Nancy DeMartini and Christine DeMartini,
a sister-in-law Carol Welsh and her husband James, and a brother-in-law, Joseph Privitera, along with many loving nieces and a nephew.
Tom was predeceased by his sister, Rose Donellan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday March 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. immediately followed by a funeral mass. Visitation and the funeral mass will be held at Ascension Church, St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 501 Brinley Ave., Bradley Beach. Placement will be private.
