Theresa J. Minatelli

Theresa Julie Minatelli, age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on August 9, 2017. Terry, as she was called by all, was raised in North Bergen, New Jersey, the daughter of Hugo Minatelli and Lillian Gartino Minatelli. Her grandparents were Teresa Zargo Minatelli and Stefano Minatelli, noted Venice stone mason, who together emigrated to the U.S. in 1905 and successfully raised a family of seven siblings. All three boys, Hugo, Lawrence and Anthony -- Terrys father and uncles, enlisted and served in WWI or WWII. Terry was a career woman and worked for many years for the Ted Bates Advertising Agency in New York City. Upon retirement, she moved to Spring Lake, New Jersey and settled in nearby Wall, NJ. Terry was very active travelling regularly to St. Thomas which she loved and at home playing golf with her many close friends. She regularly spent many happy days at the familys farm in Ancramdale, New York. However, she was a true Jersey Girl to the end. She is survived by cousins Camille Paone of Santa Rosa, California and William L. Palmer Jr of Essex, Connecticut and his three children, Mary Elizabeth (Betsy) Palmer-Post, Muir Palmer, and William L. (Tad) Palmer, III and four grandchildren. Theresa will be missed by all but not forgotten. A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Friday, August 25, 10:30 am at St. Catharine's Church, Essex Avenue in Spring Lake, NJ. Private interment will take place in St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall Township.
