Suzanne Palmer-Smiga, 60, passed away peacefully Saturday February 3, 2018 at home surrounded by family.
Born January 6, 1958 Suzanne grew up in Neptune City where she developed her appreciation for the arts and a deep love of family. In her early years she was a captain of The Eatontown Royales Color Guard and an original cast member of The Haunted Mansion on Long Branch pier.
In 1983 she moved to Long Branch, NJ with her husband, where she raised her family.
Suzanne taught in the Howell Township Public School District for 30 years, during which she earned her Master of Education from Georgian Court University in 1998.
Despite her 20 year battle with cancer she continued her support of family and the arts with her childrens involvement in the Long Branch Visual and Performing Arts Department.
Suzanne is predeceased by her parents, Bill and Tootie, and youngest sister, Katie.
She is survived by her husband Mark, children Alex (Marlene), Adam (Julie), and Emily, and her siblings Mike, Patti, Edna, and Jane.
Memorial Service will be held at Long Branch Covenant Church, 355 Joline Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740. The family will receive friends and family beginning at 1pm on Feb 10th with services to follow at around 3p.
