Susan Rhys Dunn

Susan Rhys Dunn (66) of Long Branch, New Jersey passed away the morning of Sunday, December 3, 2023. As she would be the first to say, Susan “lived a thousand lives in one body” and was a true friend to all. A naturally gifted artist, Susan loved painting and interior design. She was a voracious reader and true crime fanatic, taking pride in her gourmet cooking abilities and “dressing to the nines.” Susan’s greatest joy in life (apart from ice cream) was being a devoted mother and “Nanny.”

Susan was predeceased by her stepfather, Roy Bonforte and father, Nicholas Migliaccio. She is survived by her mother, Miriam Bonforte; her brothers, Nicholas “Nicky” and Blake Migliaccio; her half-sister, Kristen Migliaccio-Walle; her sisters in law, Bunny Degruttola, MaryAnn D’Ambrisi, Debbie Migliaccio, Erin Cuddy, Kerri Stimpson, and Katie Dunn-Marchese; her brothers in law, Philip, J.T. and Dennis Dunn; her ex-husband, Kevin Dunn; and many adored cousins, nieces and nephews.

Susan leaves behind her beloved daughter, Casey Rhys Dunn and cherished son, Kyle Patrick Dunn; their partners, son in law, Edward Brazilian and Andrew Sheridan. Susan also leaves behind two grandchildren, Edward Thomas and Rhys Patrick Brazilian, both of whom were her most recent purpose in life.

Casey and Kyle would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staffs of Monmouth Medical Center, Complete Care at Monmouth and the entire Hackensack Meridian Hospice team for treating their mother with tremendous love, comfort and most importantly, respect.

At the family’s request, private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Susan’s name to the Monmouth County SPCA.
