Steven Alan Pestreich

Steven Alan Pestreich, 60, passed away on January 14, 2025, after a courageous three-year battle with Stage 4 bile duct cancer. He departed peacefully at Riverview Medical Center in Redbank, New Jersey, surrounded by his loving family. Throughout his illness, Steven remained a source of hope and inspiration to all who knew him.

Born on September 23, 1964, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Gerald Pestreich and Miriam “Mimi” (Greenberg) Pestreich, Steven led a life marked by dedication and resilience. He attended Kingsborough Community College and built a successful career as President of Price Jewelry, Inc. in Brooklyn, New York, for over two decades. Later, he transitioned to managing and operating a thriving internet business in Manalapan, New Jersey, for more than 15 years.

Steven embraced life’s simple joys with enthusiasm. He loved discovering exceptional restaurants, playing golf, attending theater productions, traveling, and cheering on his favorite sports teams—the New York Rangers, Mets, and Giants. Known for his resourcefulness and wit, he also took pride in teaching the art of saving a dollar.

Steven is survived by his beloved family: his daughter Kayla Pestreich of Myrtle Beach, SC; his son Jared Pestreich of Myrtle Beach, SC; Jared’s fiancée Anna-Marie Stines of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his brother Michael J. Pestreich of Staten Island, NY. Steven is also survived by his loving companion Nancy Caltagirone and her children, Nicole and Matthew, of Freehold, NJ. In addition to his parents, Steven is predeceased by his sister-in-law Kathleen (O’Shea) Pestreich.

May Steven Alan Pestreich rest in eternal peace, free from pain, and may he be remembered for the love and light he brought into the lives of others.
