Steven R. Kimball

Steven Kimball, 71, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 2nd. He was surrounded by family.


Steven is predeceased by his parents, Russell and Ethel Kimball and his son Ross Kimball. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Sheryl Kimball, his children Scott Kimball and Casandra Kimball, his grandchildren Jayden Kimball, Eren Kimball, and Davian Gibson. Steven is also survived by his three Siblings and their spouses Cheryl and Vance Hughs, Jennifer and Donald Schmidt, Phillip and Katherine Kimball, his nieces and nephews Brittany Hughs, Elizabeth Rompies, Elise Schmidt, Ian Schmidt, Evan Schmidt and many grand nieces and nephews.


Steven, the oldest of 4 children, grew up in Cincinnati Ohio. He graduated from Green Hills Highschool in 1969. He started his collegiate studies in Florida and then continued his studies at Ohio State. Steven enjoyed surfing and swimming in his youth, and enjoyed fishing, especially with his late son Ross. He was a music aficionado and was a big sports fan, especially golf and football. His greatest enjoyment was coaching and attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.


Steven was a hard worker, holding down 2 jobs: for Charter Financial for 30+ years and for ABLE Ambulance as an ambulance driver. He also volunteered his time as an EMT for the Holmdel First Aid Squad. Steven was very outgoing and gregarious, known for his mid western sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Steven’s cremation will remain private. A private memorial service will be held at a later date with family.
