HOWELL, NJ – Steven Fursik, 65, died unexpectedly on August 6, 2026 in Brick NJ. He was born February 6, 1961, in Neptune NJ, the son of the late Walter and Tatiana (Penzko) Fursik, both immigrants from Ukraine.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, April D. (Aldycki) Fursik, son Niko S. Fursik and daughter, Daria L. Fursik, all of Howell, NJ, as well as his in-laws Ed and Louise Aldycki, of Farmingdale, brother-in-law Edward Aldycki, Jr. of Bryan TX, sisters-in-law Linda Aldycki and Tish Aldycki of Farmingdale, nephew-in-law Edward Aldycki, III of Buffalo NY, cousin Natalie Gryvnyak of Kyiv, Ukraine, and niece and nephew-in-laws and grandniece living in New Jersey and Texas.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from William Paterson University in 1983, Steven started his own custom cabinetry business specializing in kitchen and bath remodels and new construction builds. He later changed career paths, entering the fields of sales and marketing and eventually becoming a distributor sales entrepreneur for Enagic in the early 2000s, a career he continued until his passing.

Steven was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage and was a devout Orthodox Christian. As a child and into his adulthood, he was a member and lifelong supporter of the civic Ukrainian-American heritage youth organization ODUM. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially at the Jersey shore and in the Catskill Mountains. He was passionate about hunting, trail biking, boating, music, fitness and martial arts.


In addition to his parents, Steven was predeceased by his older brother, Nicholas Fursik, in August 2000.

A graveside service for interment of Steven’s ashes will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026, at St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Memorial Church Cemetery, located at 280 Main St., South Bound Brook, NJ. No repast-reception planned after the graveside service.
