Stephen Carmen Sgro

Stephen Carmen Sgro, 86 of Point Pleasant passed away March 17, 2022 after a long illness. Born in New Brunswick to Carmen & Elizabeth Parolise Sgro. He lived in New Brunswick and Jacksonville, FL. He was employed with Midland Ross Electronics for 39 years before retiring. He inspired us with his passion for music that he shared with his family and friends. The music will go on with his son and nephew and many others. Steve played guitar and sang in Country Western Bands, Collected Elvis Memorabilia and was a Yankee Fan. He inspired many of the younger generation of family to become musician’s. Steve also had a great sense of humor, shared his stories, loved to dance and play music. He is predeceased by his wife Doris Ann Hart Sgro, also his siblings; Anthony Sgro, Ester (Dolly) Thompson, Mary Vaneerden and niece Joyce Deibert. Surviving are: his daughter Patricia Boyce and husband Kenneth of Manchester Twp. son: Steve Sgro and his wife Cindy of Florida, daughter Shirley Blauer Sgro of N J nephew: Louis and Robin Vaneerden of PA, nieces: Karen and Edward Selby of NJ, Darlene and John Cannon of NJ. Grandchildren: Joseph Blauer, Great-grandchildren: Christopher and Veronica Blauer and many great nieces and nephews.
