Stanley "Stacie" Krezonis, age 97 left us peacefully at home on November 25, 2016. He was a veteran of WWII and retired from Westinghouse, Newark, NJ. Stanley raised his family in Elizabeth before moving to Neptune in 1977 to be closer to his wifes sister & brother in law, Liz & Bill Capone.
He was a very gifted athlete playing in four American Softball Association world tournaments and nine ASA regionals, threw eight no-hitters, one over the Puerto Rican champions and one in the National Industrial Recreation Association championships for Newark Westinghouse during his career from 1937 to 1954. He was inducted in the New Jersey Softball Hall of Fame in 1966.
Stanley was predeceased by his beloved wife Rosie and 2 sisters and one brother. Surviving are his son Bruce, and life partner Melinda Brennan also of Neptune. Also surviving are the loves of his life, his 3 grandsons, Bruce Jr and Wade of Lakewood NJ, and Zane of San Diego, CA. In addition, his youngest sister Antoinette and her husband Chet Crovicz of South Plainfield, NJ. and his kitty companion, Sadie who was always at his side.
Stanley was privately cremated per his wishes under the direction of Jersey Shore Cremation, Manasquan, NJ.
The family will be holding a memorial service for family & friends on Saturday, Dec 10, 2016 at The American Legion, 21 Gully Rd., Neptune, NJ from 1 - 4 PM. Life won't ever be the same without you Pops. Gone but never forgotten.
