Stanley Edward Klusewicz Jr., age 74, passed away at home, surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, after a battle with Parkinson’s.
Stanley was born on June 2, 1950, in Bayonne, NJ to Muriel and Stanley. He was raised in Winfield Park, NJ with his 2 siblings, Paul and Diane. Stan attended Rahway Highschool as a star athlete, leading both the basketball and baseball teams.
Stanley adored his wife and never wanted to be without her. They met in the 8th grade and began dating at the age of 16. Their love continued on bringing them both to Trenton State College where Stan majored in Business and a good time. He was a proud member of the Theta Nu Fraternity.
Four kids and many years later, he ended up in Howell, NJ for the last 36 years. Stan continued his love of sports by playing in adult leagues, coaching his children’s teams, and took great pride in attending his grandchildren’s’ games. A career in food sales led to a fondness for cooking. He was always serving up the latest meal he saw on the Food Network, showing his love through the dishes, he cooked.
“Stan the Man”, or as he named himself, “The King”, was the life of the party. He never met a stranger; he turned every introduction into a friendship, and every friend into family. He was never short of words, a social butterfly with the gift of dynamic storytelling. Stanley found happiness in the simplest things: a scratch-off, a good cigar, a cold beer, and the company of those he loved most. He was larger than life, one of the rare souls who left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Maureen, and children Lauren and her husband Craig, Ryan and his wife Sandra, Todd, and Shea and her husband Juan. He was a proud and loving Pop Pop to his 8 grandchildren, Brady, Kennedy, Summer, Callie, Paige, RJ, Benny, and Isabel.
Stan’s Celebration of Life will be August 2nd at a place where he never won a bet but always enjoyed - Monmouth Park Racetrack. Details to follow.
Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manansquan, NJ.
