Sheryl A. Burke

Sheryl Burke of Point Pleasant passed away on February 16, 2020, after a heroic battle with cancer. Sheryl received her Associates Degree from Ocean County Community College. As owner and President of the successful screen printing business in Point Pleasant, she operated Special T Graphics for thirty-eight years. As President of the Point Pleasant Business Association, Sheryl organized a Hometown Street Fair (Summerfest) to showcase local business, civic and non-profit organizations. In her capacity as President, Sheryl was Coordinator of the Halloween Parade, established for the enjoyment of the children of the community. Following her love of animals, Sheryl and her husband Jack built and served to establish a Cat Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR), Operation known as "Point Paws". As Chairperson of the Point Pleasant Borough Environmental Commission for twelve years. Sheryl created and established an Earth Day celebration that has grown to be one of the largest in Ocean County. During her twenty-five years tenure on the Environmental Commission, she most enjoyed teaching the children of Point Pleasant the value of protecting our environment.
