Shawn P. Murphy

Shawn Murphy passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026. Born in 1962 in NY, Shawn spent his early childhood in Carlstadt NJ before his family settled in Tuckerton NJ. 

He spent the rest of his life in the area. Shawn loved the water, boats and fishing. For many years he ran D&S Marina in West Creek where customers became friends and there were few in town who didn't know him. 

He loved his family fiercely and hosted many fun weekends filled with marathon Pinnacle nights, the Yankees and the best clams with his secret recipe. He was funny, caring, big-hearted, hard working, mischievous and could fix anything.

With 10 sisters and brothers, 41 nieces and nephews and his beloved son, Corey Murphy he made an everlasting impact on us all.

To honor him a Visitation and Funeral Mass will be held Saturday April 11, 2026 from 12pm-2Pm at St Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin NJ 08050
