Shannon (Crouse) Rose, 44, passed from this life into eternal life, to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 28th, 2022. Shannon passed away peacefully at home with family members by her side.
Shannon was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, great granddaughter, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She graduated from Red Bank Regional High School and married her Highschool Sweetheart Ron Rose. She was a volunteer for the Bradley Beach First Aid Squad with her Aunt Debbie Crouse and worked as a dispatcher for the Bradley Beach Police Department before starting her family with Ronnie and becoming a stay-at-home mother. Shannon was a devoted and loving mother to her four wonderful children Eric, Jeremy, Megan, and Makayla.
Shannon was loved by all that knew her and she made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed meeting people through church, school, work, at various family events and as she walked through her life . And more than anything, Shannon loved being married to her best friend and husband.
Shannon was a practicing Catholic at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish (Formally the Church of Ascension) in Bradley Beach, NJ. Shannon was part of the Churches Folk Choir, had all of the hymns memorized and liked to volunteer at church to help at the various functions.
Shannan was an avid Hockey fan and loved the Philadelphia Flyers so much, so she named her two boys after two of the Flyer’s Players, Eric Lindros, and Jeremy Roenick. Shannon loved taking picture in order to capture the special people in her life, numerous family and special events and places of interest she and the family visited. And incorporated her photos into her scrapbooking hobby she shared with her Grandmother Crouse. And today, her scrapbooks memorialize these very special people, event and places that were important to her.
And Shannon was on the front lines helping to take care of both her husband (Ronnie) and grandfather (Robert Crouse) as they both battled their respective illnesses that took them from us way too soon. Her grandfather and husband loved her very much and have greeted her in heaven.
Shannon was greeted in heaven by her husband Ronnie Rose, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Carol and James Rose, her Grandfather Robert J. Crouse, her Great-Grandmother(s) Harriett Yuill and Dorothy Crouse, Her Great Great-Grandfather Howard Crouse, her Aunt Deborah Crouse, her cousin Sherry Lynn Crouse and other friends and pets that have predeceased her.
Shannon is survived by her Mother and Father (Robin and Arnold Wicks), her four Children (Eric, Jeremy, Megan, and Makayla Rose), her Sister Brandi Wicks and her Fiancée’ (Randy Angus), her Brother Jason Wicks and his Wife Leslie, her Grandmother Mary Ann Crouse, and her many Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and 2nd Cousins.
Shannon’s life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were Blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here. Shannon will be missed and always loved by many and will never be forgotten.
Our Parting throughs…
Shannon, the day God called you home, God looked around his garden and found an empty space.
Then he looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you, lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful, for he only takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering.
He knew you were in pain.
He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyes, and whispered, “peace be thine”.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
The Rose, Wicks and Crouse Families will have a “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service for Shannon at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Church at 501 Brinley Avenue, Bradley Beach, N.J on August 23rd, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. This will give Shannon’s family and friends an opportunity to gather to share our favorite memories and tell stories, sharing in laughter and tears, and simply celebrating the life that was lived by Shannon Marie (Crouse) Rose.
