Sean Patrick Foran

Sean Patrick Foran, age 35, of Howell Township, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Sean was born on March 5, 1988 in Long Branch, NJ and was a lifelong resident of Howell Township, graduating from Howell High School in 2007.

Sean married the love of his life, Lauren Tucker, on March 13, 2015. He was a devoted husband and father who could often be found building Legos and shooting Nerf Guns with his two boys Gage, 8 and Axel, 6.

Sean spent his childhood summers with his Aunt Kathleen in Belmar, where he fell in love with the water and sailing, taking lessons as a young teenager with Friends of the Belmar Harbor (FOBH). During those summers, Sean could be found helping younger sailors set up their boats for lessons, and traveling with them to the various Regattas. Sean had a passion for cooking, a talent he picked up from his father, an accomplished chef. Sean loved to make dinner with his mother-in-law, Mary Ann, who would say, “it was like a ballet when we cooked together. It was always a pleasure to be in his company.”

Sean was a gentleman and a gentle man. He had a quick, quiet, dry and sometimes dark sense of humor everyone enjoyed. His smile was contagious and his playful laugh was beautiful to hear. He so enjoyed acting like a kid whenever he played with his boys. Their scientific experiments were epic, especially the volcanoes erupting to the ceiling. He always encouraged their imaginations and works of art, and was so patient when helping with their homework. Whether you met him once or knew him a lifetime, there was always a connection. He was always there, ready to help, whether it was a friend or stranger in need. Memories never fade.

Those left to cherish Sean’s memory are his wife Lauren and their beloved children Gage and Axel, parents, mother Kelly Charlton and step-father Rob, father Ed Foran and step-mother Virginia, his brothers and their families, David and Lauren, Ryan and Tara, step-brother, Rob Jr. and Tina, his step-siblings, Raymond and Trysha Tomaino, his uncles and aunts, Michael and Karen Foran, Richard and Denise West, Curtis West, Rob and Janina West, and Kathleen West, his beloved nieces and nephews, Danyelle, Makayla, and Joey Maione, Elizabeth Foran, and Chase Tucker, father and mother in-laws, Wayne and Mary Ann Tucker, brothers-in-law Wayne and John Tucker, sister-in-law and dear friend Shannon Tucker, cousins Bryan Foran, Theresa Grotto, Alex, Gavin, and Myles West, and his best friend/brother since second grade, Matt Feinen.

A celebration of his life will be held at Howell First Aid and Rescue Squad No. 1, 16 Kent Road on Saturday, February 17, from 1:00-4:00 PM.
