Point Pleasant

Scott John Griseto, 65, of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Born on January 10, 1960, in Oak Park, Illinois, Scott was the beloved son of Russell and Jacque Griseto. For the past two years, Scott courageously fought the hardest battle of his life against cancer, showing strength, grace, and unwavering love for those around him until the very end.

After college, Scott enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his country with great pride and devotion. Following his service, he worked as a private investigator before joining The Andover Companies, where he built a long and respected career.

Scott was a man defined by craftsmanship, kindness, and heart. He loved fixing things, building things, and could quite literally build a house if he needed to. He was the kind of person who would rather help others than be helped himself—a man whose independence, generosity, and humor drew people in.

He adored his wife, Cynthia Griseto, and his greatest concern was always her well-being. Together, they shared a deep love and partnership, one that extended to their family, friends, and all who entered their lives. Scott was also a devoted stepfather to Nino and Evan Coniglio and a proud grandfather to Dean and Penny. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Bella, who rarely left his side.

Scott is survived as well by his loving sisters, Kathy and Chris, and his brother, Nick, all of whom adored him deeply and shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love.

Scott’s love for life showed in everything he did. He was a devoted sports fan, cheering passionately for the New York Knicks, Chicago White Sox, and Kansas City Chiefs. He loved his families—both his own and Cyndi’s—with all his heart.

Scott was our shining star, a man of quiet strength and boundless love. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, compassion, and loyalty that will live on in everyone who knew him. Though our hearts are broken, we find peace knowing that he is reunited with his parents, running with his dogs, and likely playing endless games of Crazy Eights with his mom and dad in heaven.

A memorial service to celebrate Scott’s life will be held on Saturday, November 1, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Shore Club, 700 NJ-71, Spring Lake, New Jersey. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring his memory and sharing stories of the remarkable man he was.

Scott built more than just things, he built a life full of love, laughter, and meaning. He has earned his wings and is now soaring through the heavens, showing us the way until we meet again.
