Sam J. Vetrano Jr. (Sammy) 57, of Wall Township unexpectedly passed away on Monday July 24th, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center with his devoted wife Connie by his side. Sammy was born in Neptune at "Fitkin Hospital" and lived in the Shore area all his life. Growing up in Belmar, he loved fishing and worked on many of the Party boats as a mate. He attended Belmar Elementary School and Manasquan High School. Sammy was a flooring installer for Northwest Interiors and travelled all over the United States. He was a member of the New Jersey Carpenters Union working as a flooring installer and foreman for Jerry Piscopo at Fromkin Brothers Inc. of Edison, N.J. Seasonally, Sammy and Connie lived in Jupiter, Florida where Sam would trek to Jupiter Inlet on his Trek bicycle daily to fish and take a dip in his Olympic size pool and work in the garden when he returned home. Sammy was predeceased by his father Sam J Vetrano Sr., and his mother Winnie (Glab) and stepfather, Frank Donnelly. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Connie (Wright), a son, Clarke (Tanya) Morton, a grandson, Alexander Paul Morton both of Newport News, Virginia. Sam is also survived by his siblings, Sandy Vetrano, Howell, Dominic (Karen) Vetrano, Arapahoe, North Carolina, Winnie (Steve) Howland, Forked River, Jo Ann Augustine, Howell, Phylles Vetrano, Brick, and many nieces and nephews. Sam had many, many friends that he considered his family. There will be a Graveside Service at St. Catharine's Cemetery, 1000 W .Chicago Blvd., Sea Girt ,N.J. at 1 p.m. Monday, August 7th 2017.
