Ruthann Veizer Haussling

Ruthann Veizer Haussling, 80, of Lakewood, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026. A woman of immense warmth and creativity, Ruthann dedicated her life to caring for others and protecting the vulnerable.

Beyond her own family, she served as President of the local Council for Adoptable Children, where she was a passionate advocate for finding homes for "hard to place" children. She was also a devoted animal lover and a gifted artist.

Ruthann was preceded in death by her sons, Jesse and Damien Haussling. She is survived by her longtime partner, Greg Linnett; her five sons, James (Lisa), Earl, Nicholas (Rebecca), Andrew, and Luke (Diana); five cherished grandchildren, Cody, Izzy, Mia, Luca and Quinn, three sisters, Ethel, Marylou, and Carol, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former husband, Henry and his wife, Linda.

A memorial service will be held on June 6, 2026 at 11:00 am at Grace Church in Haddonfield, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Jersey Shore Animal Center.
