It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rosemary Grace Mazza, beloved mother and grandmother, on June 3, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, NY on October 24, 1948 to Margaret and John Conicello, Rosemary lived a life full of love and left behind a beautiful legacy. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Louis Mazza, her treasured children, Frank Mazza and Marijohn Babino and their spouses, Gia Marie Mazza and Carmine Babino, and four precious grandsons, Salvatore, Louis, Anthony and Vito.
Her compassionate and loving nature enabled her to thrive as a registered nurse for many years. After working as a neurosurgical nurse, she became a manager at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, eventually retiring to help care for her adored grandsons.
As proud as she was of her career, her greatest accomplishment was watching her children and grandchildren grow up. Her most cherished moments were spent with her four grandsons. She could be heard cheering from the front row of every game, school event or celebration they were a part of. Wonderful family memories were also made on various family trips to Pleasant Acres and Vila Roma in the Catskills, the Poconos, Wildwood, Lake George and several cruises.
When she wasn’t with her family, she enjoyed spending time with many friends. She loved to travel (upstate NY and Ireland were some of her favorite trips), read, was a movie buff, a trivia enthusiast (especially Jeopardy), and an amazing cook. She was very active and volunteered in several Hazlet community organizations throughout the years.
Her brilliance, welcoming personality and sense of humor will truly be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is gone from our sight, her love will remain in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of her amazing life will be held at a later date.
