After graduating from Green Mountain College in Vermont, she continued her education at the University of Vermont and later earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in early childhood education at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Outside of work, Rosemary enjoyed traveling, skiing, tennis, golf, bridge, and the arts over the course of her lifetime. She had fond memories of living in Pines Lake (Wayne, NJ) and spending winters at their condominium on Longboat Key, FL as well as her current residence at Four Seasons in Manasquan.
She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Robert P. Kirchner; her father, Frank Van Amburghher; her mother, Rose Taylor; her stepfather, Frank Taylor; and her brother, Dr. Frank Van Amburgh.
She leaves behind her three daughters, Gayle Rutkowski (Perry), Jill McDaid (Thomas), and Beth Ballon (John); four grandchildren, Jonathan Rutkowski, Emily Rutkowski, Evan McDaid (Erin) and Aidan McDaid; a brother, Jeffrey Taylor (Sherrie); and a sister-in-law, Michele Van Amburgh, in addition to several nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Hackensack Meridian Health Hospice, as well as all the caregivers, for their compassionate care during her illness.
Rosemary will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones, guiding them with the same compassion that defined her remarkable life.
