Rose Pisciotta

Rose Pisciotta, 81, of Howell, New Jersey passed away peacefully at home on her own terms on February 19, 2025 surrounded by love.

Rose was born in Brooklyn New York to parents, John and Anne (Crispi) Plantamura on December 5, 1943. She married the love of her life, Vincent in 1965.

After marriage, they moved from Brooklyn to Staten island, where they resided for 28 years. They then moved to East Stroudsburg PA to be closer to her first born grandchild. In 2021, Rose moved to New Jersey, to reside with her son Brian and daughter in law, Robin, where she became queen caretaker and treat dealer to 4 of her doting grandpups.

Rose took pride in keeping a close eye on the clock and making sure all of her loved ones were safe at home at the end of the day. Being more than 5 minutes late could result in a search party knocking at your door. Rose enjoyed her and Vinny's frequent trips to Atlantic City where she would "make her donation" and then return home, always without regret.

She worked as a cashier at Waldbaums supermarket for many years and then as an Office manager for 2 physician's offices. She left each place of employment with friends for life.

Preceding Rose in death are her parents, sister Blanche, and her beloved husband, Vincent, who passed away in 2020. Unsurprisingly, this loss greatly affected her zest for life.

Remaining to cherish Rose's memory and amazing Italian recipes, are her sons, Brian (Robin) and Scott (Bonnie) her niece Nancy, many cousins and her granddaughters whom she raised as her own children, Timmory (Miguel) and Tessa (Marcus); as well as Leah, Drew and too many Grandpuppies to mention.

Per Rose's wishes, there will be no formal services held for her remembrance. The family is eternally grateful for all of the love and support offered during this difficult time.

Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
