Rosanne Franza, 61, of Lake Como passed away peacefully at Jersey Shore University Medical Center on Saturday, Sept. 21 after a long battle with lung cancer.
Although a Brooklyn native, her love of the beach brought both her and her husband, David Franza, to Belmar nearly 30 years ago where they raised their two children, Nicole and David.
In addition to being a dedicated wife and mother, Rosanne served as a councilwoman for Lake Como and demonstrated an unequivocal devotion to the community she loved so much. She provided a home full of warmth, hospitality, and, most of all, love that will always be cherished.
Rosanne is survived by her husband, David T. Franza, her daughter Nicole Franza, and her son, David M. Franza. She will be severely missed by her brother, cousins, and the countless friends and individuals she has touched with her kindness and generosity.
Rosanne’s unparalleled sense of humor, outstanding graciousness and talented nature will not be forgotten, but admired and revered for generations to come.
A service will be held on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Church of St. Rose in Belmar at 1 p.m. There will be a memorial at 501 16th Ave. in Belmar following immediately after.
Please come to share memories and celebrate the life of Rosanne Franza.
