Ronald John Phillips, 62, passed away suddenly on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015. Ronnie was born in Newark on March 17, 1953 to his late mother, Marie Bromley Phillips. He was a lifelong New Jersey resident, and lived in the Jersey shore area for most of his life. Ronnie worked for many local construction companies, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends in need.
Ronnie leaves behind a large loving family, including many siblings and five children. He also leaves behind many close friends, most of whom have known him since his kids were young.
Ronnie was quite the morning person, and could be found most mornings on the boardwalk at sunrise with coffee and a buttered roll in hand. He was an avid reader and enjoyed many family camping trips, crabbing adventures, and taking his kids to work to ride in the heavy machines. Who lets their kids drive bulldozers?!
In lieu of formal services, a small memorial brunch will be held for family & friends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 at his Aunt Cathy's home at 1422 Lakewood Road, Manasquan. Please contact Emma at 732-547-9975 or [emailprotected] for additional information. -
