Robert A. West

Robert A. West, Sr., 90, of Toms River, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025. He is now reunited in Heaven with the love of his life, Margit. His heart longed to be with her after her passing, and now they are together again for Eternity.

Bob was born in Newark and raised in Belleville, New Jersey. An only child, he experienced the loss of his father at a young age. Despite life's early hardships, Bob found his calling on the open road and proudly worked as a truck driver for over 60 years. He loved the freedom of the road and the satisfaction of a job well done.

He is survived by his daughter, Marianne Walsh (Scott); his son, John Berntsen; and his beloved grandchildren: Dylan Walsh (Kourtney), Jessica Ferris (Michael), Tori, and Maxwell. He also leaves behind two cherished great-grandchildren, Gregory and Kennedy.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, located at 1500 Hooper Ave, Toms River.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Bob’s memory.
