Robert George Peterson, 56, was born on August 28, 1962. He went home to the Lord on February 9, 2019. He is pre-deceased by his loving parents Thomas G Peterson and Mary E. Peterson, and his brother Thomas Peterson Jr.
He is survived by his three beautiful children, Alexa, Nicholas, and Brianna Peterson and their mother Kim SanFilippo- Peterson and his one grandson, James Vermeal. Robert left behind his devoted brother Stephen Peterson and his sisters, Barbra Peterson, Janet Carter, and Kathryn Zuppardo. Robert was also engaged to his fiance Donna Carter for six years.
Robert loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His favorite book was the Bible.
Robert was a blue collar hard worker, he worked with his hands. He installed shower doors, worked on cars, and could fix anything inside or outside of a home. His nick-name was McGyver.
Robert loved anything to do with nature. He was a complete outdoors man. He loved bird-watching, hunting, and especially deer. Robert loved going to the park; Turkey Swamp with his children and grandson, he loved showing them how to treat animals in a gentle loving way he loved to show his children special secret trails he found.
Robert had a sweet tooth for life. But also for food. He loved his chocolate. Anything chocolate Robert loved. Robert would always order a chocolate milkshake and ask for extra chocolate syrup. His other favorite was Oreos with milk, he would eat it like cereal.
He loved music, rock and roll was Robert favorite genre of music. Some of his favorite artist were Billy Joel, Elton John, Metallica, John Melloncamp, Stevie Knicks, Led Zeppelin, and Phill Collins.
Most of all Robert loves his county. "The USA BABY" is something he would always say. You could always catch Robert wearing a American Flag T-shirt or a flag flying high on his car and raised high and proud outside of his home.
Robert was a man with one of the greatest sense of humors, he could make anyone laugh he was very witty. Robert loved with all he had. He was a shy man but he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Robert Peterson, is loved and missed more than he probably knows. Rest In Peace Robert Peterson. You are with the angels now. We love you.
A Memorial Service will be held on February 23rd at 1:00pm at Abundant Life Church of God, 632 Colts Neck RD, Freehold, NJ 07728. With a re-past to follow.
