Robert "Bob" William Marshall, 88, passed away May 14th, 2018, peacefully in his home in Toms River, New Jersey.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, June 7th, 2018 at North Hardyston Cemetery,3312 NJ-94, Hamburg, NJ 07419. Military Funeral Honors will be presented.
Robert was born March 25th, 1930 to George and Alice Marshall in Hamburg, New Jersey. There he spent his childhood and formative years before proudly serving in the Army during the Korean War in White Sands, New Mexico. After his service, he returned to New Jersey where soon after he met and married his beautiful bride Ann Marie Treloar of Franklin. They lived briefly in Bloomingdale where they started a family and later settled in Hardyston to raise their two children. There he could often be found doing improvements to his home or tending to his lawn and garden. After raising their family, Robert and Ann moved to Toms River.
Robert worked in the trucking and auto parts industry for nearly 40 years. Throughout his life he was a master plastic model builder and built small armies of WWII era planes, boats, tanks, and armament. He especially enjoyed sharing time and stories with his many friends and loving family.
Robert is survived by his sister Winifred, son Thomas, son-in-law Robert, grandchildren Kyle, Ryan, and Katy, and various nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Ann and daughter Jane.
