Regina (Jeannie) Mary Morris, of Whiting, NJ passed peacefully on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, in her home alongside her three daughters.
Born on September 11th, 1942, in Jersey City, NJ to Francis Xavier McDonald and Regina Elwood, where she grew up and created fond friendships. She later moved with her then husband, Thomas Morris, to Old Bridge, NJ where they raised their three daughters. Regina was known and loved by locals as she worked in numerous bars where everyone knew her name and opinion. She was known for her love of singing, even though she would get the lyrics wrong. Her heart was unconditional, and she never let anyone spend a holiday alone - her thanksgiving table was open to anyone she met.
She was cherished by her seven grandchildren who kept her young and moving. Whether she was attending a game, concert or even visiting foreign countries, Nana was right by their sides. Nana would spoil her grandchildren and family, even if it was the last dollar she had, always wanting to bring joy to the ones around her. Nana truly embodied the spirit of what a grandmother should be.
Regina is survived by her daughters, Donna Brizak (husband Chris Brizak), Maureen Morris, and Lynn Shields (husband Thomas Shields). She will forever be remembered and missed by her grandchildren, Raymond Vogel (Wife Amy Vogel), Tara Vogel, Alexia Polachek, William (Billy) Vogel, Morgan Shields, Teddy Shields, and Erin Shields. Nana was blessed to have met and spent many memories with her great-grandsons, Raymond IV and Dylan Vogel.
A private remembrance to celebrate Regina will be shared by her family.
