Rebecca A. Shipley

Rebecca A. Shipley of Point Pleasant Beach, went on to Glory, Monday morning, September 3, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 27, 1961 in Point Pleasant Hospital, Rebecca was raised in Point Pleasant and graduated from Point Pleasant Beach High School. She later earned a Nursing Degree and was employed by Claremont Care Center, Point Pleasant, until her death. Rebecca was loved by both residents and staff at Claremont. She always cared for patients with compassion and love. Rebecca is survived by her husband John of 37 years; Sons John and Jason, both Point Pleasant Beach; Daughters Jessica Habegger and husband Frank, Brick Township; Jordan, Point Pleasant Beach; grandsons John and Frank; Parents Charles and Charlotte McCarthy, Brick Township; sisters Michelle, Maureen, Nancy, Kelly; and brother Michael. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929 would be appreciated. Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation Service, 36 Broad Street, Manasquan, NJ.
