Ralph “Pa” Moscatello Sr., 95, of Manchester, passed away Thursday, July 17 at his home. Surrounded by his loving family, he entered into Heaven’s gates through the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ralph was born on August 27, 1929, in Jersey City, to Harry and Margaret Moscatello. The eldest of five, Ralph was a loving brother to Patrick Moscatello, Annette Calabrese, Harry Moscatello, and Richard Moscatello. Ralph served four years in the Navy and later married the love of his life Claire "Amabile" Moscatello. They had four beautiful children together: Margaret, Ralph Jr., Lisa, and Michele.
Ralph was well known in the trucking industry where he started out as a dispatcher and eventually started his own logistics brokerage business named Ramco.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren who he adored: Stephanie, Deanna, Alyssa, and Christian. Some of Ralph’s hobbies included bowling, bocce ball, checkers, feeding people way more than they needed to be fed, and watching westerns with his friends and family. He lived for Sunday dinners with his family and friends consisting of massive bowls of ravioli and a lot of love and laughs.
Earthside, he will be missed dearly by all who knew him, but we rejoice knowing that he is finally home with Jesus, his wife, and the rest of his family who were called home before him. We look forward to the day we will see him again and are grateful for the blood shed by Christ that secures our eternity with him.
A service will be held Tuesday July 22nd at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Lakehurst.
Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation Service, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”
