Paul Wylam
October 5, 1955 – March 17, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Paul Wylam passed away on Sunday morning March 17, 2024, at home surrounded by love. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Paul was one of 7 children. He moved to South Plainfield where he began his career in law enforcement. For 30 years he served his community as a patrolman, detective, sergeant and ultimately retiring as a lieutenant. He devoted his life to upholding the law and ensuring the safety of those around him. Throughout his career, Paul received many awards and commendations. His commitment to service extended beyond the badge, touching the lives of countless individuals and leaving a lasting impact on the community he loved. In addition to his career, Paul found immense joy in his family life. He and his wife Gail were married for 34 years and shared 6 children, Robbie, Stephen, Dana, Ashlee, Paul and John. His blessings continued with nine grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness and pride, as he cherished every moment spent with them. Paul and Gail relocated to Brick in 2018 where they spent the last 6 years of his life. Paul will be remembered fondly by his family, friends and colleagues for his selflessness, dedication, and continuous sense of humor.
Services to honor Paul's life and legacy will be held on April 13, 2024, at 11am at The Presbyterian Church of Toms River 1070 Hooper Avenue Toms River.
Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
