Pamela Washington transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, March 29, 2016. She was born on July 28, 1948 and was the third of 9 children born to William M. and Pauline P. Washington.
Pamela gave her life to the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Second Baptist Church, Matawan where she served as Sunday School Superintendent and Church clerk, the position she held until the time of her death. She was also a faithful member of the Seacoast Association. Pamela cherished her time at Second Baptist and her love of God was evident in the devoted friends she made through the years and by the many endeavors she took on and accomplished.
Pamela received her Master's Degree in Micro Biology from Howard University, Washington, DC, and was employed at Exxon Mobil for several years and also held a job at United National Bank, Plainfield. Pamela also received her Medical Billings certificate from Catherine Gibbs School.
Pamela was predeceased by her parents, William and Pauline Washington and her sister JoAnn Baldwin.
Pamela leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted and loving son Anthony Washington, grandson Xavier Milano, 5 sisters, 4 brothers, three brothers-in-law two sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, extended "family" and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Second Baptist church, 45 Orchard Street, Matawan. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.
