Oscar Alexander Campa III may you rest in peace. 5/3/1952 to 1/27/2014. He was very much an idealist and a dreamer, preferring the company if his books, journals, and computer. He graduated from Brooklyn Tech HS in 1970 and first attended Pratt Institute with a full scholarship, but soon discovered a greater interest in Philosophy. He graduated of Queens College with a degree in Philosophy, and eventually wrote abstracts at the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics under contract to NASA until April, 2000. A resident of Union City until last year, when illness brought him to Holmdel and to his family. Gravely ill since September, 2013, he is at rest.
He is survived by his mother Elizabeth C. Campa, of Holmdel, brother Carlos A. Campa, of Matawan, his sister Rosa Campa Hearne and bother in law Tim Hearne, Jr of Holmdel and two nephews Timothy C. Hearne III and Thomas C. Hearne.
A mass of Christian burial will be offered, Wednesday, 9:15 am, February 5, 2014 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Holmdel.
