Olga Yanés Morales, 91, of Oceanport, New Jersey, a cherished mother, sister and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024. Family stood by her side as her journey came to an end.
Born in Villa Clara, Cuba where she met her beloved husband, Eduardo Morales. Shortly after the Castro regime in 1959, they fled communist Cuba to USA with their young daughter. They settled and enjoyed many years as residents of Union City/Guttenberg, Hudson County, New Jersey. Against all odds, Olga & Eduardo were successful & respected business owners in their community. Once retiring they moved to Tinton Falls, Monmouth County in 2004 to be closer to their family.
Her authentic Cuban cooking was exceptional & she always had a plate for anyone who visited their home. After the death of her adored husband in 2012 she moved to Oceanport, New Jersey. In these years she enjoyed time with her good friends & family, laughs with her cherished grand-dogs, taking care of her beautiful plants & conversations with family in Cuba.
She leaves behind many memories & her absence will be felt by all those who knew her.
Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
