Nancy L. Wallace, 68 of Manalapan, New Jersey, passed away on September 28, 2016 in Neptune, New Jersey.
Nancy was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania to David and Jean Potter on December, 10, 1947.
Nancy graduated from Albright College and went on to earn a Masters of History degree from Kutztown University. She was retired after a 40+ year career as a school teacher, most recently at Freehold Township High School. As a passionate educator, avid reader, and lifelong learner, Nancy was awarded a scholarship program of study at Oxford University from the Monmouth County Branch of the English-Speaking Union and Teacher of the Year from Freehold Township High School. Nancy was frequently greeted by former students who knew her as a genuinely caring and enthusiastic teacher who made a positive impact on their lives. She was a member of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the League of Women Voters.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Richard J. Wallace of Manalapan, New Jersey, daughter Marcia L. Branco and granddaughter Amy L. Branco of Wake Forest, North Carolina, sister, Cynthia A. Wassong of Greensboro, North Carolina, brothers Michael J. Cassidy of Bound Brook, New Jersey and Timothy J. Cassidy of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and numerous extended family members.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Brandywine Senior Living Reflections at Colts Neck for their compassionate care of Nancy.
A private family memorial is planned.
