Mona Lee Mucherino (nee Cox) (formerly Tambe) age 89 of West Milford died peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2021.
She was born in Passaic and had lived in the Poconos for many years before returning to New Jersey.
Mona was a Buyer of clothing in her early life until she married and became a wonderful homemaker. She traveled many places with her first husband and was always dressed to impress with beautiful matching accessories.
Later in life she remarried and settled in the Poconos. Where she created a beautiful home and life. She adored her family and hosted many holiday dinners for 40-50 people. She was known best for her cooking and Italian heritage. Mona would be described by many as a happy and pleasant person. She always made the best of things no matter what the situation was. She especially enjoyed music and signing with her loved ones and even made up little rhymes that her grandchildren and great grandchildren will hold close to their hearts. She enjoyed taking care of her great grandchildren. Mona brought joy to all that she met.
Mona was survived by her granddaughter, Ashlee Terese McCormack (spouse Andrew McCormack) of Marlboro and her great grandchildren, Joseph Alexander Lancellotti and Nicolas Mario Lancellotti of Wayne, Anthony John McCormack and Aliana Marie McCormack of Marlboro.
Mona was predeceased by husband Dr. Carl E Mucherino, daughters Gianene Tambe and Debra Lee Tambe and granddaughter Gianene Ann Visaggio.
A memorial mass will be held at St Mary’s Church in Pompton Lakes on Saturday October 30th at 10am repast lunch to follow at Positano’s in Wayne.
Ashes will be scattered in CT more information to be released at a later date.
