Miriam Evaslin

July 9, 1945 — March 29, 2023

With great sorrow, the Evaslin, Frazier, Brock and Unterberger family announce the sudden passing of Miriam Nan Evaslin of Aberdeen, NJ.

Born in Queens, NY to Monroe and Blanche (Stern) Baumann, her family grew up in Hyde Park, New York before moving to Matawan, New Jersey in 1958. She graduated from Matawan Aberdeen High School in 1963 and earned her bachelors in Psychology from the University of South Florida. She also took courses towards a masters in Engineering.

She was an absolute trailblazer in her profession, knocking down glass ceilings with ease while breaking sales records throughout her career. She even won the 2017 NSCA Lifetime Achievement Award for all of her contributions in the field of business and construction.

Miriam was married to Gary Evaslin for 27 years. They shared two step children and a menagerie of “adopted” grandchildren. Avid travelers, they visited at least 15 different countries in four different continents, and countless islands. Being the welcoming and caring person that she was, she left friends everywhere she traveled.

Miriam was pre-deceased by her husband, Gary Evaslin and stepson Gary. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer, stepdaughter, Regina, sister in law Joann, nephews Denny and Damon, and her nephew David Baumann, his wife Kathleen and great niece (his daughter) Jeannie Murphy. Jeannie Murphy has three kids: Hunter, Sadie, Mason.

Services will be held in private. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.
