Mike Webster Flint, Jr.

Myron (Mike) Webster Flint Jr., age 82, of Allenwood, passed away on December 25th in Lakewood, New Jersey. Mike was born in Caldwell, NJ to Marion Rose and Myron Webster Flint Sr. on October 1st, 1936. He was a graduate of Manasquan High School, Class of 1954, and National Agricultural College (now Delaware Valley University), Class of 1958. He served in the National Guard before beginning a 35-year-long career working at the New Jersey Department of Agriculture as an Agricultural Statistician, retiring in 1992. Mike was a longtime member of the Allenwood Church where he served as a Deacon. He was married in 1960 to Suzanne Marie Mulshine and had three children, Steven Flint (Manasquan, NJ), Robert Flint (Raritan, NJ), and Linda (Flint) Fisher (Wall, NJ). Mike was an avid fisherman. Many of his happiest moments were spent at water's edge in pursuit of angling glory. He was a longtime member of multiple fishing clubs including the Merchantville Fishing Club, the New Jersey Beach Buggy Association, the Dream Mile Club, the Nags Head Surf Fishing Club, the North Carolina Beach Buggy Association and Trout Unlimited. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Edward Zalewski. Mike is survived by his three children, his son-in-law Kurt Fisher, and three grandchildren Collin Robert Fabio, Annika Rose Fisher and Ian Thomas Fisher. He is also survived by his sister Ann Marie (Flint) Zalewski, his longtime companion, Cathy Metta, and his college roommate, best friend and fishing buddy, Norman Carpenter. A memorial will be held at the Allenwood Church (3110 Atlantic Avenue, Allenwood, NJ 08720) on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11 AM.
